Solutions
Cognite aims to create a data bank of the mental health ecosystem, and partnerships with organizations, government, and communities to inform mental health policy, interventions and services in Pakistan and beyond.
Ecosystem Approach
An evolving conceptualization of factors relevant to research that addresses the complex, multi-faceted nature of mental health and health disparities in Pakistan.
Process
A mapping of the mental health ecosystem in Pakistan has not been undertaken as of yet; this is why it is essential to begin the process to understand what kind of research approaches are being undertaken in emerging markets, what data is available, and what interventions have been developed ( as their context would be most relevant to Pakistan). Based on our findings, we will assimilate a methodology pertinent to Pakistan’s context. An extensive mapping exercise will follow over three years to help understand the current state of the mental health ecosystem, gaps, challenges, and opportunities. Following this research, we will be working on developing MapD. The description is provided below.
Develope a robust research methodology
Conduct an extensive research
Develop tools for contextulized mental health interventions
- MapD
- ESG
- SDG
Situation Analysis: Situation analysis will follow an ecological design combining knowledge discovery (standard description of service provision) and implementation (use for mental health planning).
- Lack of relevant research machinery
- Youth Mental Health issues
- Investment in mental health
- Labour force effects of MH treatment
- Substantial scale-up of financial resources needed
Beneficiaries include policymakers, innovators, health departments, social entrepreneurs, funding agencies, investors, the development sector, and the technology realm.
Governance: Mental health and SDGs – Mental health and ESG
Cognite Ecosystem Framework: It’s an evolving multi-dimensional model that depicts various mental health determinants relevant to understanding and addressing mental health and health disparities. The framework facilitates assessing progress, gaps, and opportunities in the mental health and health disparities research portfolios.
Product
The primary purpose of our proposed products will be to provide governments, regulators, and independent assurance bodies with the tools to develop, adopt and engage standards and policies that address major ethical concerns, thereby protecting consumers and enabling them to assess quality mental healthcare more easily, helping them make more informed choices about their mental health, and encouraging the strategic growth of safe, ethical, and effective digital mental health services.
- Digital Ecosystem of Mapping Mental Health Indicators, Availability, and Access to Mental Health Services across Pakistan’s lifespans.
- Data Portal: MapD aims to map and stratify the mental health determinants where users will have the capability to:
- Use interactive graphics and maps to assess the magnitude of mental health determinants
- Explore spatial and temporal trends
- Identify geographic patterns
- Examine determinants along the Cognite Mental Health Research Framework framework
- Services Portal: The Service portal will provide access to interventions and resources to help planners, resource with researchers design, implement and evaluate evidence-based interventions to improve mental health and reduce health disparities.[1]
